The Celtics opened the PAL 8-12 year old basketball league with an overtime win over the Kings, 32-26. The Kings, who were down early in the game, bounced back in the second half to tie the game behind Greg Smith's game high 14 points. However, DJ Cuttino and JT Gannon continued their dominance into the over time period to lead the Celtics to their first win.
The Bulls also pulled out a close win, beating the Heat 26-22. The Bulls' offense spread the ball around well, as point guard Frank DiStefano led the team with 8 points. Craig Lyttleton contributed 8 points for the Heat in their losing effort.
