The PAL Flag Football regular season came to an end Thursday with the Falcons defeating the Vikings, 48-18 in the final game. Sean Regan and Luke Wilhelm connected for five touchdowns for the Falcons. Both players added another individual touchdown in the Falcons dominating win. The Vikings Daniel Berg threw three touchdowns in the game.
The Eagles clinched first place heading into the playoffs as they held on to defeat the Ravens, 31-28. Adrian Cropper scored three touchdowns while Ryan Williams delivered two touchdown passes for the Eagles. The Ravens, who were losing 19-6 at the half, pulled within three points in the final minute as Dallas Towner completed his third touchdown pass, two to Brenden Fitzgerald and one to brother David Towner. Unfortunately for the Ravens, the comeback fell just short as the Eagles were able to thwart their last offensive drive.
The Titans scored 27 points in the second half to defeat the Raiders, 47-28, knocking the Raiders back to second place. Andrew Bollinger threw four touchdowns for the Titans, three in the second half alone. David Mongeluzzi caught a pair of touchdowns while Michael Sorowice added another two in the air in the Raiders' losing effort.
The final regular season standings are:
1) Eagles 6-1
2) Raiders 5-2
3) Ravens 3-4 (won by a coin flip)
4) Falcons 3-4
5) Vikings 2-5 (own tiebreaker over Titans)
6) Titans 2-5
The first round of the playoffs will be in two weeks, as the Ravens play the Titans at 5pm on Wednesday, November 30th. The Vikings will have a chance to avenge Thursday's loss right after at 6pm against the Falcons. The Raiders play the winner of the Ravens/Titans game on Thursday, December 1st at 5pm.
