The third seeded Ravens dominated the Titans en route to a 45-28 victory, sending them to the second round of the playoffs. Quarterbacks Dallas Towner of the Ravens and Andrew Bollinger of the Titans each threw two touchdowns in the first half as the Ravens headed into the break with a slim 14-12 lead. The Ravens would take control from there, as Dallas Towner added two more touchdown passes while the team rushed for three touchdowns alone in the second half. Gabe Hunter, Cassidy McCormick, and Jeremiah Glavin each ran for a score in the Ravens victory. The Titans scored twice on passes from Keyshan Patel to Sterling Burgess, but it simply wasn't enough to beat the surging Ravens.
In the second game of the first round, the fifth seeded Vikings upset the Falcons 36-22, avenging a 30 point loss in last week's matchup. The Falcons jumped out to an early 16-0 lead with two touchdown passes from Sean Regan to Charlie Sykora and Luke Wilhelm. The Vikings were able to respond and Daniel Berg hurled two touchdowns to teammates Dylan Gallagher and Greg Smith, making the score 16-14 Falcons going into halftime. The Vikings then continued their stingy defense throughout the rest of the second half, stopping the Falcons on several occasions, outscoring their opponent 22-6 in the second half. Marcus Whipple scored all three touchdowns for the Vikings in the second half as they live on to face the Eagles in the second round of the playoffs.
Tonight's second round will feature two great matchups as the Ravens against the Raiders at 5pm. The Raiders beat the Ravens in week one, 26-25, by scoring on the final play of the game after a costly penalty by the Ravens gave the silver and black one final shot to win. The Eagles, who lost their only game to the Vikings in week 2 of the regular season, will try to avenge the loss of their undefeated season against the Vikings at 6pm.
