The Celtics upset the previously undefeated Bulls in the PAL 8-12 Year Old Basketball League Championship, winning 32-17. Star point guard DJ Cuttino outscored the Bulls by himself, dropping 24 points in the contest. Josh Lefton added six points while Justin Roth added another two-pointer in the Celtics romp of the Bulls.
The Bulls offense never seemed to get off the ground, mainly due to a strong half-court press defense presented by the Celts. Bulls leading scorer, Alexis Ferrell, net 12 points throughout the game, but everyone else seemed silenced by the Celtics defense. Frank DiStefano (four points) and Jaymar Harris (one point) were the only other Bulls to contribute to the scoring.
