The Spurs won their third straight game by defeating the Suns 28-14 in the first game of last night's action.  The 3-0 Spurs have been a dominant force thus far, behind the stellar play of forward Joe Sammons.

The Celtics improved their record to 2-1 with a thrilling overtime victory against the PAL Sixers, 25-22.  The Sixers got into foul trouble late in the second half, propelling the late comeback by the Celtics.  Tim Pittman netted 15 points for the Celtics.

Next week will pit the top two teams against one another in their second regular season match-up as the Celtics host the Spurs.  The Spurs controlled the game throughout, winning their first bout 30-22.  The Sixers will try to tally their first win against the Suns, as the Suns won a last second thriller in week one, 23-21.
