The Spurs put up 20 points in the second half alone to come away with a 24-21 victory over the Celtics.  The Spurs, now 4-0 and tops in the league, won the game behind numerous fast breaks and great rebounding.  Joe Sammons took over in the last five minutes of the contest, putting up a total of 18 points in the bout.  The Celtics made it a game with great mid-range shooting behind Sean Regan and Jesse Mulligan, but the Celts and point guard Tim Pittman fell just short in the final seconds.

The Sixers won their first game of the season as center Robbie Neal dropped a bucket with 0:01 left on the game clock, 18-16.  The Sixers' Luke Perrone and Suns' Ryan Williams led the scoring with 8 points, but the most important play proved to be the last second buzzer beater.  The Suns mounted a late 4 point lead after an early deficit, but the Sixers were able to make their come back with their ferocious defense.
