The Eagles and Colts will face off for the third time this season in this year's championship game on Wednesday, December 1st at 5:30pm. The first seed Colts faced the Ravens in the second round of the playoffs after the Ravens stunned the Cowboys on Wednesday, 40-30. Zach Orendorf tied the Eagles' Adrian Cropper for the most touchdowns in a game this season with six total against the Cowboys, throwing for three, returning two interceptions for scores and adding a rushing touchdown which took the lead for the Ravens in the final minute. In Thursdays game, the Ravens were unable to conjure up their third straight win, as the Colts beat the cinderella Ravens 38-19 to advance to the championship. Marcus Whipple stole the show for the Colts, scoring two offensive touchdowns and returning an interception for another score in the win. Brendon Poulson scored two of the Ravens three touchdowns in the losing effort.
The Eagles continued their hot streak, winning their fifth game in a row against the 49ers 47-32 to advance to the PAL Super Bowl. The quarterbacks for both teams, Ryan Williams for the Eagles and Luke Wilhelm for the Niners, each threw four touchdowns in back and forth battle. The Eagles' pair of brothers, Ryan and Kevin Williams, who added another score, and Adrian and D'Adrian Cropper, who combined for five touchdowns, stole the show in the Eagles triumph. Bernoj Ward and Adem Whitney each caught two touchdowns for the 49ers in their concluding game of the season.
The PAL Super Bowl will feature the top two teams during the regular season, as the 7-2 Colts will host the 6-3 Eagles. The teams split the season series 1-1, as the Eagles won in the regular season finale 37-25 during their current five game win streak. The Colts bested the Eagles earlier in the season, winning in commanding fashion 40-32. The championship game will be played on Wednesday, December 1st at 5:30pm at the Hockessin PAL.
