The first place Colts upended the streaking Eagles in the PAL Super Bowl on Wednesday, 35-34. The Eagles game into the game riding a five game winning streak, but were halted early by the Colts high powered offense. The Eagles opened the scoring as Moses Carter caught a short pass from Ryan Williams to put the Birds up 8-0. The Colts responded quickly with a touchdown pass from Dallas Towner to Marc Pala, one of their two touchdown connections on the day to tie the game. On the ensuing Eagles possession, a bad snap led to a safety, giving the Colts the lead and the ball. The Colts strategically moved down the field and scored back to back touchdowns, one to David Towner and again to Marc Pala to take a 22-8 lead. Ryan Williams soon brought the Eagles back into contention, hitting Adrian Cropper for a deep touchdown and later avoiding a blitz to run in another score, putting the game at 22-20 in favor of the Colts. The two teams traded touchdowns over the next four possessions, as Colts quarterback Dallas Towner threw his fourth and fifth touchdowns of the game, connecting with Marcus Whipple and Justin Pepe to keep the Colts in the lead. Ryan Williams added two more passing touchdowns, both to Adrian Cropper as the Eagles pulled within one point with :58 seconds left on the clock. The Eagles decided to go for the win, but came up a yard short as Jah'Mere Oakley stopped the Eagles Moses Carter just shy of the goal line. The Colts were able to kneel out the rest of the time to seal the 35-34 victory.Coach Scott Baylis led his team to a 6-2 regular season record, starting the season off with six straight wins in dominant fashion.
