Tar Heels Stave Off Spartans Comeback in PAL Opener

The PAL 8-11 year old Basketball League got underway last night as the Tar Heels defeated the Spartans, 35-24. Led by Sean Regan and Michael Dellose, who each tallied twelve points for their team, led the Tar Heels to their commanding victory as the Spartans trailed 23-8 at the half. Point Guard Dallas Towner netted eleven points for the Spartans and led the charge in the second half, outscoring the Tar Heels 16-12 during the time period, but it was not enough to erase their deficit.
The Spartans will have a chance to get into the win column again next week as they take on the Wildcats on Monday at 6pm.
