The Wildcats dropped both games of their doubleheader on Monday, losing to both the Spartans and the Tar Heels. The Tar Heels remained undefeated after winning a wild comeback, defeating the Wildcats 30-28. Chris Robinson, who injured his knee on the last play, led the Wildcats with 13 points, but failed to convert in the final seconds on a late drive. Sean Regan led the Heels with 15 points in their winning effort.
The Spartans were able to take advantage of the absence of Chris Robinson after his knee injury in the first game by beating the Wildcats 32-12. Alexis Ferrell dominated the paint, notching 14 points in just three quarters of play for the second place Spartans.
The Tar Heels will be put to the test in next week's doubleheader, as they take on the Spartans at 5pm and the Wildcats at 6pm.
