PAL Programs


The programs below are just a few examples of what we offer to our members!

  • Hockessin PAL Wrestling Club (Hockessin location only)  
    Started by Officer First Class Joseph Archangelo "PAL Officer Joe Archangelo - 3 time Blue Hen conference champion-1988 Delaware wrestling state champion-1992 M.E.A.C. Champion Delaware State University-1997 World Police and fire games bronze medallist in freestyle wrestling-1999 founder and coach of the PAL Wrestling club.
    The Wrestling Club runs from March to November, Monday nights from 6:00-8:00 PM for 8 to 18 year olds. For further information contact Chris Colby at (302) 239-8857.
  • PAL Basketball Leagues  
    8-13 year old Boy and Girl Leagues and Junior High leagues are run throughout the year at both locations.  Leagues vary at each location. Please call for more information.
  • PAL Flag Football
    This program is for boys and girls between the ages of 8-14 and leagues run throughout the year at both locations.
  • Titus Sports Academy (Hockessin location only)
    Titus Sports is a speed, strength, and agility training program for young athletes. Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • Kick-It Karate (Hockessin location only)
    Boys and Girls ages 8-15 are welcome to participate.  Classes are Tuesdays and Thursdays at our Hockessin site.  Call for more information.
  • Hockessin PAL Summer Fun Camp  
    Youth ages 8-13 are eligible to participate.  Contact Program Manager Chris Colby for more information at (302) 239-8857.
  • PAL Summer Night Program (Garfield Park location only)
    This program addresses the large number of youth who have no access to constructive activities on Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer. 
  • The PAL Youth Academy (Garfield Park location only) 
    Boys/Girls ages 11-18 are eligible to participate.  Contact Corporal Lester Lee at (302) 656-9501.
  • Other PAL Activies Offered: 
    Drop-in Basketball, Volleyball, Karate, Kickball, Baseball, Soccer, Floor Hockey, Weight Lifting, Cheerleading, Chess/Checkers, Computer Fundamentals, SAT/PSAT Prep, Special Presentations & Trips, Arts & Crafts, Ping Pong, Air Hockey, Foosball, Book Club, Homework Club, Crossfit Kids.

    In addition to these activities, suggestions are always welcome for new activities.
